Emotion detection is an area of affective computing that attempts to estimate emotional cues from observable signals such as facialexpressions, voice characteristics, or text. This paper proposes an academic Emotion Detection System that accepts a selected inputmodality, processes it, extracts relevant features, and uses a machine-learning or deep-learning model to estimate an emotioncategory. The design can support applications such as human-computer interaction, learning interfaces, and user research, providedthat users understand the system's limitations. The proposed workflow covers input capture, preprocessing, feature extraction, classification, result presentation, and basic evaluation. The system should communicate that its output is an estimate rather than adefinitive statement about a person's internal emotional state. Privacy, informed consent, bias, accessibility, and secure handling ofaudio, image, or text data are considered throughout the design. Architecture and workflow diagrams, a conceptual output chart, andan implementation and evaluation plan are provided. The figures are illustrative; no experimental accuracy is claimed.
