In the present study, a new species of the genus Kimseya Antropov, 1995, K. saudica Gadallah & Soliman, is described and illustrated. The specimens were collected using pitfall traps in the Ibex Protected Area, Hotat Bani Tamim, south Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It closely resembles K. boharti Antropov, the only previously described species of the genus, but can be distinguished by differences in body sculpture, hind wing morphology, and several morphometric features. DNA sequences data were obtained from the new species to facilitate future comparisons with other populations of the genus that may be discovered and to provide molecular evidence for assessing morphological differences.
