This introductory article frames the contributions to this special issue of the Journal of Moral Theology . It does so by introducing the UN’s Women, Peace and Security (WPS) initiative at its twenty-fifth anniversary and outlining the core issues and gaps in the literature around the distinct peacebuilding work of Catholic women.
