Binary phase‐only holographic displays are expected to enable high‐frame‐rate three‐dimensional displays. An intensity compensation method based on temporal intensity accumulation has been proposed to enhance reconstructed image quality in such displays. This method iteratively performs hologram generation and numerical reconstruction to obtain multiple holograms. However, applying this method to polygon models requires a very high computational cost. In this paper, a computationally efficient method that enables the intensity compensation method to be applied to polygon models is proposed. In the proposed method, numerical reconstruction is performed using a layer‐based approach with a limited number of depth levels, significantly reducing the computational cost. In addition, a two‐stage interpolation is employed to obtain accurate reconstructed results suitable for the intensity compensation. Experimental and numerical results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves practical computational efficiency while maintaining improved image quality.
