The study investigates the influence of digital technology adoption and sustainable practices on firm performance, with particular emphasis on organizational agility as a mediator, among manufacturing firms within Al Buraimi Governorate, Oman. The study is theoretically underpinned by Resource-Based View, Dynamic Capabilities Theory, and Stakeholder Theory, which were used to develop a conceptual model on digital technology adoption, sustainable practices, organizational agility, and firm performance. The study used a quantitative research design to investigate the research objectives, with data collected through a structured questionnaire administered to 234 respondents who were representative of manufacturing firms within Al Buraimi Governorate, Oman. Structural Equation Modeling using SmartPLS was used to validate the study model. The study established that digital technology adoption has a positive influence on organizational agility. Further, organizational agility mediates the relationship between digital technology adoption and firm performance. However, sustainable practices were not established to significantly influence organizational agility, nor was organizational agility established to mediate the relationship between sustainable practices and firm performance. The study contributes to knowledge by providing empirical evidence on digital technology adoption, sustainable practices, organizational agility, and firm performance, particularly in an emerging market context. The study also offers practical implications on how to use digital technology adoption to enhance firm performance through organizational agility, particularly among manufacturing firms within Oman.
