This study investigated the anti-obesity effects of a combined intervention using Lactiplantibacillus plantarum BGI-N6 and white kidney bean extract (WKBE) in high-fat diet-induced obese mice. Results showed that the combination significantly reduced body weight and weight gain, improved hepatic steatosis, suppressed the whitening of brown adipose tissue, and lowered serum levels of total cholesterol and LDL-C. It also reshaped the gut microbiota, suppressed conditional pathogens, and significantly reduced serum LPS levels. The high-dose group showed more pronounced effects. The study demonstrates that this combination, particularly at a high dose, effectively alleviates diet-induced obesity and has considerable anti-obesity potential.
