Computer vision yield models deployed in agricultural fields are routinely paired with retrofit sensor packages that replace or supplement the original imaging hardware, and the resulting calibration shift can silently invalidate the model's predictive guarantees. The analysis characterises the operating characteristics of the design under a declared variance structure with between-cluster standard deviation 6.0, residual standard deviation 4.5 and intraclass correlation 0.64, using 2000 replications per design cell across cluster counts of 8, 16, 24 and 32 and effect sizes of 3, 5 and 8 percentage points. The design attains 80% power at a 5 percentage point effect with 54 clusters. The paper states a formal guarantee: under stated assumptions on the stability of the calibration map, the before-after-control-impact estimator yields a consistent and asymptotically normal estimate of the calibration shift, and the associated confidence interval covers the true shift at the nominal rate. The contribution is a design-theoretic account of how retrofit-induced calibration shift can be detected and bounded without observational data, together with the sample-size requirements that follow.
