Articles were selected on the basis of relevant peer-reviewed publications focusing on topical drug delivery systems for Tamoxifen citrate (TMC) in Psoriasis. TMC is a selective estrogen receptor modulator showing emerging potential for psoriasis management because of its immunomodulatory and antiproliferative effects. This review highlights the problems associated with conventional TMC delivery like stability, high-dose requirement and adverse effects. It additionally emphasizes the evidences from research articles, case studies and patents. In addition, the review described in detail novel drug delivery methods and various strategies aimed at overcoming the key challenges associated with TMC and psoriasis.Expert opinion Conventional delivery systems show limited success in effectively treating psoriasis. The adherence of patients to these therapies is often low, attributed to various factors such as associated adverse effects & high costs. Therefore, it is essential to explore methods for providing effective treatment approaches. To address the need, innovative strategies are being investigated and created to enhance action.
