Education and the Morals of the Human Family

The course to safeguard humankind from self-extinction, and then, the mission to redeem it from self-enslavement and self-alienation are always in the concrete service of the philosophy and education.This relationship of philosophy and education is on the understanding of the human person as a subject of lived experiences, and it has given rise to humanistic disciplines for the education of the human family.These disciplines are in the service to the human persons who determine what happen to them; especially what determine their intelligibility, subjectivity and authenticity.Such deterministic consciousness is hinged on the expression of their actions and choices, and in turns, establishing human relationships based on the integrations of human values.It is believed that the valuation of socialization based on the interaction and integration of morals are properly possible and sustainable on the respect of the human family, and such consciousness can only save and sustain the human race from the weighty of moral depravity and bankruptcy associated with contemporary civilization.This relationship between philosophy and education in assessing the values of the family demands that every human sense or model of development must be on the valuation of the human family through the achievement of peace, justice, godly freedom and the respect for human rights and dignity.The paper adopted the expository methods of analysis, by the breaking down the relationship of the philosophy, education and the ethical values of the human family as an agent of socialisation.Hence, the paper concluded that human family remains indispensable unit of development and it should be educated properly.Among others, it suggested that the projection of humanised or humanistic education as a content of learning should be intensified by educational stakeholders at all levels of learning.This is in order for learners to understand the imposing waves of civilization of morals and long the sustain the values of the human family though their ethical actions and choices, all in a view to maintain their existential exactness in realizing integral, godly and healthy humanism.
