Dollar spot, caused by the fungal pathogen Clarireedia jacksonii , is one of the most destructive diseases on cool-season turfgrass, infecting a wide range of turfgrass species, and has the largest economic impact on turfgrass facilities. Symptoms of dollar spot initially start as small, circular, sunken spots that generally do not exceed 5-cm in diameter. The infected leaves show up as bleached and show a light straw color. Under favorable conditions, the disease progresses, and the spots can coalesce into irregularly shaped large patches. This report evaluates the efficacy of synthetic fungicides for managing creeping bentgrass dollar spot. Results from this trial will help turfgrass managers develop effective management programs for dollar spot.
