The rapidly evolving Information and Communications Technology (ICT) distribution industry requires efficient internal coordination to meet customer demands and ensure timely product delivery. This study aims to examine the influence of inter-departmental lead times on the operational efficiency of handling fast-moving IT products at VST ECS Phils., Inc. Specifically, it focuses on the Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse Operations, and Distribution departments, investigating how demand variability for mobile phones, laptops, desktops, and monitors affects internal workflows and processing times. Employing a quantitative descriptive-correlational research design, the study will gather data through structured survey questionnaires administered to employees of VST ECS and selected ICT distributors in Pasig City. Statistical methods, including frequency distribution, weighted mean, Pearson correlation, and regression analysis, will be utilized to examine relationships among demand variability, inter-departmental lead times, and operational performance. Furthermore, the study seeks to identify common sources of processing delays and determine their implications for product movement, inventory availability, order fulfillment, and organizational efficiency. By assessing coordination practices and operational challenges across departments, the research aims to establish a clearer understanding of factors contributing to workflow inefficiencies within the ICT distribution sector. The anticipated findings will serve as a basis for developing practical recommendations to streamline internal processes, strengthen inter-departmental communication, improve inventory management, and enhance order fulfillment performance. Ultimately, this study seeks to contribute to more responsive, coordinated, and efficient supply chain operations at VST ECS Phils., Inc., while providing valuable insights for improving operational management practices among ICT distributors in the Philippines.
