Abstract:The text presents the theory of epithemism, a cultural-philosophical approach and creative practice that examines art and science through the lens of mental connections (epithemes). The author introduces and substantiates a conceptual framework, including "isotema," "epithema," and the "transparent plate" model (based on the ideas of P.A. Florensky) for modeling interdisciplinary interactions. Special attention is given to the "painting with a transition" — a material realization of epithemism in visual art, which structurally demonstrates the informational permeability of an opaque canvas and generates the phenomenon of "epithemic perspective." The text includes a glossary of definitions and an interview-manifesto, revealing the philosophical and natural-scientific foundations of the approach, as well as the role of the viewer-participant in updating the emotionally colored model of the universe.
