Meta-analysis protocol evaluates exercise effects on office versus 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure in hypertension.
Why the study?
This protocol outlines a planned systematic review to evaluate the agreement between office and 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure responses to exercise training in adults with elevated blood pressure or hypertension.

Systematic review protocol outlines methods to compare office and ambulatory blood pressure responses to exercise in adults with hypertension, highlighting measurement concordance.
Protocol for a systematic review and within-trial meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials in adults with elevated blood pressure or hypertension. For each trial that reports both outcomes in the same randomised comparison, we will estimate the difference between the exercise effect on office blood pressure and on 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure, and pool this difference with random-effects meta-analysis. The full protocol (version 1.0, 26 October 2026) is attached. The review has also been submitted to PROSPERO (CRD number pending).

陈柯一 et al. (2026) conducted a meta-analysis in Elevated blood pressure or hypertension. Exercise training was evaluated on Difference between the exercise effect on office blood pressure and on 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure. Exercise training effects on office versus 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure in adults with elevated BP or hypertension will be compared in this meta-analysis protocol (no results reported).
