Lipoma of the internal auditory canal (IAC) is an extremely rare lesion. Because its clinical presentation may overlap with other IAC pathologies, accurate recognition on MRI is essential. Correct radiologic identification helps distinguish IAC lipoma from other conditions, particularly vestibular schwannoma, and directly influences management decisions. In particular, appropriate interpretation of MRI findings supports an adaptable, patient-specific approach and helps avoid unnecessary medical or surgical interventions, as IAC lipomas tend to remain stable over the long term.
