Traditional mineral fertilizers are integral to crops productivity but often lead to environmental issues i.e.; nutrients leaching, soil degradation and heavy metals accumulation in soil or water. To address these issues, two experimental study evaluated the impact of some foliar chelated or nano micro-nutrient fertilizers (zinc, iron, manganese and copper) on Snap bean productivity in sandy soil under drip irrigation conditions. Eight micronutrients fertilizers plus the control were tested during 2024 and 2025 growing seasons. Results showed that nano-fertilizers formulas as foliar treatments significantly enhanced most studied parameters compared with chelated ones in both seasons of study. Specifically, nano Zn followed by nano Fe foliar treatment recorded most effective and leading to the highest values of vegetative growth and yield data. Furthermore, nano-micro nutrients increased the uptake and concentration of elements i.e., N, P, K, Fe, Mn, Zn and Cu in the tissues of leaves and green pods compared with control or chelated. Both chelated and nano formulas of micronutrients achieved increment in green pods yield and its quality parameters. Control plants recorded the lowest values of all studied data except fiber pods content in both seasons. The stimulation effect of nano formulas due to its properties on nano particles (small size and high surface area) which lead to stimulation plant nutrients bioavailability. Sustainable farming systems provided of integrating nano-fertilizers into modern agricultural practices to stimulate productivity of snap bean under sandy or new reclamed lands in Egypt. Finally, the optimization of use nano fertilizers need further investigation to study potential risks and bio-safety concerns on human and environment.
