This retrospectively registered systematic review synthesizes English-language, peer-reviewed journal literature (2015–2026) that addresses resistance to artificial intelligence (AI): negative attitudes, avoidance, distrust, anxiety, aversion and reluctance toward AI. Scopus and Web of Science Core Collection were searched on 9 September 2026. After screening, 554 studies are included. Evidence is organized with an Antecedents–Decisions/Behaviors–Outcomes (ADO) framework across individual, technological, organizational and societal levels, complemented by methodological quality appraisal (MMAT 2018) and a bibliometric layer. Screening and data extraction are complete; quality appraisal, final synthesis and reporting are in progress. The review is reported according to PRISMA 2020.
