The European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Federation connects autonomous research infrastructures through shared capabilities and common participation rules. This presentation examines what these requirements mean for EDITO through the experience of the EOSC Node European Digital Twin Ocean, operated by CNR-ISTI on D4Science and supported by EOSC-Marine. In production since 8 October 2026, the Node provides the Open Science component of EDITO, connecting marine research resources and services with the wider EOSC community. The presentation traces the Node's progression from enrolment to production, distinguishing mandatory requirements from recommended capabilities and ongoing developments. It explains federated authentication, catalogue integration and service discovery, alongside user support, monitoring and FitSM-aligned service management. It also addresses governance, operational responsibilities and the onboarding of third-party services while preserving provider autonomy. Building on this experience, the presentation proposes a practical framework for exposing EDITO services through the Node. This covers service descriptions and access policies, authentication, support contacts, availability checks, maturity and sustainability commitments. These proposals remain subject to agreement with EDITO. The concluding roadmap identifies immediate priorities: selecting an initial service portfolio, assigning counterparts and aligning operational arrangements. The aim is to establish a shared basis for making EDITO services discoverable, accessible and supportable across the EOSC Federation.
