Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) in schools needs to be strengthened through learning activities that not only provide information but also allow students to practice healthy behaviors. This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge of students at MI DII Al Mujahidin, Kendari City, regarding PHBS, with a focus on handwashing with soap (HWWS). The activity was conducted on September 25, 2026, involving 20 students. The stages included a pre-test, education on PHBS in schools and key times for handwashing, a demonstration of the six steps of handwashing with soap, hands-on practice in turns, and a post-test. A descriptive evaluation was conducted by comparing the number of correct answers to ten questions before and after the activity. The total number of correct answers increased from 188 out of 200 possible responses (94.0%) in the pre-test to 199 out of 200 (99.5%) in the post-test, representing an increase of 5.5 percentage points. These results indicate an immediate improvement in students’ knowledge scores following the educational and practical activities. However, the evaluation does not establish whether students consistently practice handwashing with soap over the long term. Therefore, sustained handwashing habits need to be supported by teachers’ involvement and the availability of handwashing facilities and soap at school.
