Increasing the complexity and scale of rescue and firefighting operations requires the integration of advanced technologies to enhance the physical capabilities of firefighters. Exoskeletal systems that enhance human strength and endurance have shown significant potential in various industrial and medical fields. This article considers the need to integrate exoskeleton systems into the Federal fire service of the State fire service of the EMERCOM of Russia to increase the efficiency and safety of rescue operations and fire extinguishing. The analysis is based on empirical data, experimental data showing that the use of exoskeleton complexes can reduce the burden on a firefighter by 35–45 % and increase the duration of work in fire or extreme conditions by 25–30 %, as well as on the existing scientific literature on the effectiveness of the use of exoskeleton systems. The main criteria affecting the effectiveness of the use of exoskeletal systems in the fire and rescue business have been identified.
