This study presents AdeNET+, an edge-adjacent infrastructure-monitoring prototype that combines Zabbix agent-based data collection with an Electron desktop client for local visualisation. The system was evaluated in a controlled 13-virtual-machine testbed using the same Zabbix server and network environment for both the AdeNET+ client and the standard Zabbix web interface. The reported aggregate measurements were 1.8 s versus 4.3 s for data latency, 0.4 s versus 1.2 s for interface response time, and 2.5 MB/min versus 16.7 MB/min for bandwidth use, corresponding to descriptive reductions of 58.1%, 66.7%, and 85.0%, respectively. The Electron client continued to depend on repeated Zabbix API communication for fresh data; its distinguishing feature was local rendering and desktop integration rather than elimination of backend communication. Because the available results are aggregate point estimates from a controlled, co-located testbed, they are interpreted descriptively and are not presented as statistically generalisable benchmarks. The study therefore provides a proof-of-concept architecture and a bounded comparison of desktop and web-based visualisation for operator-facing infrastructure monitoring.
