Species of Trissolcus Ashmead (Hymenoptera: Scelionidae) have been used in the biological control of Pentatomoidea due to their effective parasitism of host eggs and host specificity. However, many species have potential that is yet to be assessed. This study presents a new host record for a well-characterized species, Trissolcus mitsukurii(Ashmead), which was reared from the eggs of the citrus green bug, Rhynchocoris humeralis (Thunberg) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae), in the field. We also present new host records for Trissolcus latisulcus (Crawford), which was reared from the stink bugs Eocanthecona furcellata (Wolff), Halyomorpha halys (Stål), and R. humeralis. We present molecular data to show that the current concept of T. latisulcus may represent a cryptic species complex and morphological data to illustrate a surprising range of host-related morphological variability. For T. mitsukurii and T. latisulcus, development time to adulthood and the suitability of Eo. furcellata eggs as a host were evaluated.
