Hypertension is a noncommunicable disease that remains a public health issue in Kebocoran Village, Kedungbanteng Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency. Low adherence to Clean and Healthy Living Practices (PHBS) contributes to an increased risk of hypertension. This community service activity aims to improve community knowledge regarding the prevention and management of hypertension through PHBS education as part of the GALAKSI (Gerakan Layanan Edukasi Anti Hipertensi) Program. The activity was conducted from June to October 2026 and involved 52 participants/respondents from Kebocoran Village, targeting residents aged over 15 years who suffer from hypertension, health cadres, members of the PKK (Family Welfare Movement), Karang Taruna (Youth Organization), and the general community. The methods included a pre-test, presentation of educational materials, interactive discussions, the use of educational media such as presentations, leaflets, and posters, and a post-test to evaluate participants’ knowledge gain. The results showed an increase in participants’ knowledge, as evidenced by a rise in the average pre-test score from 65.14 to 88.41 on the post-test. PHBS education enhanced the community’s understanding of hypertension risk factors, salt intake reduction, the DASH diet, physical activity, smoking cessation, and the importance of regular blood pressure checks. The GALAKSI program is expected to support sustainable promotive and preventive efforts through community empowerment and the strengthening of the GEMA HATI Team.
