SPECS is a Horizon Europe‑funded research project led by IFPEN that investigates the system‑wide impacts of impurities in CO₂ streams used for geological storage. Its overall aim is to expand safe storage options for a wider range of CO₂ compositions, reduce risk, and support standardisation, regulation and industry uptake by providing mitigation, monitoring and guidance tools. This Project Management Guide (deliverable D1.1) aims to present the overall management plan set-up for SPECS (including organisation, rules, processes and instances) specifically designed to efficiently manage the project and enable the effective and successful implementation, measurement and control of the workplan. It outlines SPECS goals, objectives and timeline, presents the operational organisation, defines the roles and responsibilities of project participants and specifies the general procedures and processes to manage the project, including the quality control of deliverables and reports produced and the project risk management plan. This document complements the Grant Agreement and the Consortium Agreement. In any case, the Grant Agreement takes precedence over all the other documents and the Consortium Agreement takes precedence over the Project Management Guide.
