Ecuador is one of the most biodiverse countries, in the Napo province is the Kichwa people's organization of Rukullakta, it is fighting to balance logging exploitation with conservation in one of the most biodiverse regions of the country, the evaluation of forestry programs carried out considering both the environmental impact and the socioeconomic aspects. The objective was to harmonize timber extraction with the preservation of biodiversity and local cultural rights. The forest restoration and community participation project sought to formulate recommendations for sustainable and equitable management of forest resources. The methodology used included documentary research, field work and a mixed quantitative and qualitative approach. Sampling of intervened areas, structured interviews, surveys and document analysis were carried out to evaluate impacts and conflicts. The results show that the forestry projects have resulted in a successful forestry exploitation plan, with the raft species as the main resource being in optimal conditions. Despite this good action, it is recommended that Kichwa communities diversify marketing strategies to face low demand and unfavorable prices in the local timber market. It is suggested to strengthen local capacities through training programs in forest management and business practices, as well as conserve secondary species and promote research. The importance of establishing strategic alliances to improve forest management and competitiveness in global markets is highlighted.
