Three hermit crab species of the family Paguridae are reported from a marine limestone cave in Yoron Island, Ryukyus Islands, southwestern Japan. Kumepagurus cavernicolus Komai & Osawa, 2012, the type species of the genus, has been known only by the male holotype. The present female specimen of the species supports the recent emended diagnosis of the genus Kumepagurus Komai & Osawa, 2012 based on both the male and female of the sole congener, K. noelensis Komai, Rahayu & Fujita, 2021. Catapagurus tuberculosus (Asakura, 1999) is hitherto recorded only from some islands of the Ryukyus and the present specimen slightly extends the distribution of the species to north. Pylopaguropsis lewinsohni McLaughlin & Haig, 1989 is a new addition to the hermit crab fauna of the Ryukyu Islands, although the species has been known from north to the Izu Islands, southeast off Boso Peninsula in central Honshu main island, Japan. Habitat characteristics of the three hermit crabs are briefly discussed.
