The genus Pseudocypraea F.A. Schilder, 1927 was only recently recorded in the fossil record of Java, with the description of Pseudocypraea alba Celzard, 2026, from the Upper Miocene (Celzard, 2026). A second fossil species of the genus is formally described here from Java. Pseudocypraea charlenae n. sp., from deposits assigned to the Pliocene of the western part of the island, is characterized by the combination of an exceptionally large size for the genus, an elongated pyriform shape, extremely fine dorsal ribs, a strongly rostrate anterior extremity, and a remarkably developed, strongly curved, and deeply notched exhalant canal.
