Objective Contents of statistics are a fundamental part of the curricula in health science degrees around the world. Despite their importance, these contents are perceived as complex by students, and knowing their attitudes to facilitate learning is convenient. Methods In this study, the Attitudes Scale for Statistics (ASS) questionnaire has been validated in the Colombian context. Results The ASS questionnaire showed good psychometric properties and this allows its application in this context to know the attitudes of health science students towards statistics and to evaluate the effectiveness of possible interventions that could improve these attitudes. Conclusions The ASS is valid and reliable to measure the attitude toward statistics in students of health sciences, medicine, and nursing.
