The lattice dimensions are a = 20.975 (6),b = 5.173 (2), c = 19.332(5) Å, β = 115.97(1)O. The space group is P21/c with 4 molecules in the elementary cell. The octyl chain is fully extended. The molecules are packed parallel in a head-to-tail manner with an overlapping of the octylcyclohexyl groups and an overlapping of the cyanophenyl groups, respectively.
