This study was designed to examine the influence of fintech adoption on financial inclusion, with digital innovation serving as a mediating variable. Employing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 100 respondents, business owners within food-sector MSME clusters located in Central Java Province. A non-probability sampling technique, specifically purposive sampling, was used, and the research instrument consisted of a questionnaire utilizing a 1–5 Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS software (version 4.1.1.8). The findings indicate that fintech adoption has a positive and significant effect on financial inclusion; similarly, digital innovation was shown to have a positive and significant impact on financial inclusion. Furthermore, digital innovation acts as a mediator linking the influence of fintech adoption to financial inclusion. Theoretically, this study provides an empirical contribution to the literature regarding the role of digital innovation within the food-sector MSME ecosystem.
