Sound financial management is an essential competence for Generation Z, who grow up in a digital environment with heavy exposure to consumption trends. This study examines the effects of financial literacy, hedonistic lifestyle, self-control, Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), and financial technology (fintech) on the financial management of Generation Z in Tunggara Village, Banjarnegara Regency. A quantitative survey design was used. Primary data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed via Google Forms to 100 respondents aged 16–29 years, selected by purposive sampling from a population of 479, and analyzed with multiple linear regression. Financial literacy (B = 0.591; p < 0.001), self-control (B = 0.165; p < 0.001), and fintech (B = 0.142; p = 0.010) have positive and significant effects on financial management, whereas hedonistic lifestyle (p = 0.614) and FoMO (p = 0.675) have no significant effect. The model is feasible (F = 57.954; p < 0.001) and explains 75.5% of the variance in financial management. Financial literacy is the most dominant determinant (standardized beta = 0.561). The findings highlight the need for applied financial education, stronger self-control, and prudent fintech use among rural Generation Z.
