Illicit arms proliferation has in the current time posed a serious societal problem in Nigeria and has created pressure on border management. As a result, the multiple porous borders have weakened the control of illicit arms in Nigeria. Although Seme Border is one of the officially manned borders, the study aims to interrogate the management of the Seme Border with Arms Proliferation into Nigeria between 2018-2021. The hypotheses generated, which is poor management of the Seme land border by relevant authorities contributed to arms proliferation in Nigeria between 2018-2021 and were also analyzed and evaluated in line with available data. The study adopted the Transnational Crime theory as its framework of analysis to interrogate the problem. Based on the theory's application, the study also looked at Seme-Land border control and the potential effects of proliferation. Qualitative research design was employed using secondary sources of data, which involve the use of documentary evidence to justify the essence of the research, especially on the reason why land border control policies and regulations seem weak at checking the smuggling of arms in the country. The data generated in the course of this study were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on its findings, the study suggest as follows, Establishment of an Integrated Land Border Management System for effective, efficient, and coordinated border management; this will enhance the three levels of coordination: intra-service, inter-agency, and international cooperation.
