Absorbing honeycombs are widely used due to its advantages in light weight, mechanical strength, and high-performance absorption. With the development of ultra-high power radar detection technology, accurate and efficient analysis of electromagnetic-thermal behavior in absorbing honeycombs is becoming increasingly important. Here, an accurate and efficient multi-physics analysis model is established by comprehensively considering heat conduction and face-to-face thermal radiation of absorbing honeycomb. This is achieved by equivalenting the porous honeycomb structure to a block of bulk material, which leads to an exponential decrease in the number of computation grids and computation time. Based on our equivalent model, the number of computation grids is reduced from several hundred thousand to several thousand, and the computation time is reduced from tens of hours to a few minutes, demonstrating significant improvement in computational efficiency. We have also verified the accuracy of the proposed method through experiments. Moreover, the proposed method is also applicable to a multi-layer non-uniform absorbing honeycomb.
