The Administrative Bureau of the Leadership of the Regional Secretariat of North Sumatra Province (ADPIM Setda Provsu) has a role in managing and disseminating information on regional leadership activities to the public through digital media. As the number of publications produced every day increases, users experience difficulties in retrieving published information due to the lack of an effective activity archive search mechanism. Therefore, this study aims to redevelop the digital publication website of ADPIM North Sumatra Province by adding an activity archive search feature using the Linear Search algorithm. The system development method used is the Waterfall method which consists of the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and system testing. The Linear Search algorithm is applied to the search feature to sequentially check publication data based on keywords entered by the user. The system was built using the Laravel framework, PHP programming language, and MySQL database. The results of the study show that the developed website is able to facilitate users in finding activity archives based on certain keywords. Based on the test results, the Linear Search algorithm was successfully applied to the activity archive search feature and is able to display search results according to the data stored in the database. Black Box testing shows that all system functions run according to user needs.
