Access to knowledge is crucial in the digital age for enhancing the standard of living and socioeconomic conditions of traditional communities. Weavers in Odisha rely on a variety of information, including market trends, design advancements, raw material availability, and government assistance programs. This study examines the information needs, information-seeking habits, and challenges faced by the weaving community in accessing digital information. Using a quantitative survey methodology, structured questionnaires were distributed to 600 weavers across selected districts in Odisha. A total of 535 completed questionnaires were collected and analysed. The results indicate that weavers gather information from both conventional and digital sources, although many continue to face obstacles when accessing digital resources. Major barriers include poor internet connectivity, low digital literacy, lack of awareness regarding online platforms, and financial constraints. To meet the information demands of the weaving community in the digital age, this study emphasizes the necessity of enhancing digital literacy and strengthening information services.Knowledge management, Digital information, Weavers' community, Information needs, Digital sources.
