The article presents the results of a comprehensive study on the effects of long-term application of neuropedagogical methods on the competitive performance effectiveness of athletes specializing in sambo wrestling. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to develop innovative approaches to improving the long-term sports training system that consider not only physical, technical, and tactical components of athletic performance but also cognitive and psychophysiological mechanisms regulating athletes’ activity. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of a neuropedagogical methodology complex and to assess its influence on cognitive preparedness indicators and competitive performance among sambo wrestlers. The 12-month pedagogical experiment involved 47 male athletes aged 19–26 years with different levels of sports qualification. Within the framework of the study, a complex of neuropedagogical methods was developed and implemented, including sensorimotor-reactive, cognitive-tactical, ideomotor, psychoregu-latory, and coordination components. The effectiveness of the proposed approach was assessed through indicators of sensorimotor response speed, attention concentration, decision-making accuracy, as well as technical and tactical performance parameters under competitive conditions. The results demonstrated that athletes from the experimental group showed statistically significant improvements in the investigated indicators compared with baseline values and the control group (p≤0.001). The obtained findings confirm the effectiveness of integrating neuropedagogical approaches into the long-term training system of sambo athletes and substantiate their potential as an additional component for enhancing competitive performance, improving technical and tactical stability, and optimizing the overall training process in combat sports.
