Rural Tourism in Family Farming (TRAF) requires public policies for its development. The objective of the study was to analyze access to PRONAF with regard to credit lines that cover “Rural Tourism and Leisure,” in order to understand whether farmers, especially those in Santa Catarina, are accessing this credit policy. The research was based on a literature review of part of the academic production available on the subject and used as a database the information provided by the Central Bank of Brazil between 1996 and 2024. Based on an analysis of the temporal evolution of the volume of resources made available, the number of operations, the average value of operations, and regional distribution, among other factors, it was found that the amount invested in TRAF is still negligible in the context of PRONAF, with the southern region mobilizing the largest amount of resources and demand growing.
