The effect of an enzyme probiotic supplement against the background of hemp cake in the diet of broiler chickens on the efficiency of nutrient use

The potential advantage of hemp cake in the diet of broiler chickens is associated with a high fibre content, which provides not only a feeling of satiety, but also an increase in enzyme production. The use of “Cellobacterin-T” as a feed additive ensures the breakdown of fibre and stimulates the normal intestinal flora of broiler chickens due to the presence of cellulolytic and lactic acid bacteria in its composition. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the effect of an enzyme probiotic against the background of hemp cake in the diet of broiler chickens on the efficiency of nutrient use. For the experiment, 140 heads of 7-day-old broiler chickens of the Arbor Acres cross were selected, of which 4 groups of 35 heads each were formed. The birds of the control group received the basic diet (BD, 100%), the first experimental group received 100% BD with the addition of the probiotic preparation “Cellobacterin-T” at a dose of 500 mg/kg of feed, the second experimental group received 90% BD and 10% hemp cake, the third experimental group received 90% BD and 10% hemp cake in combination with Cellobacterin-T at a dose of 500 mg/kg of feed. During the experiment, an increase in live weight was observed in the group receiving a combination of Cellobacterin-T and hemp cake, in relation to the control, by 12.88% (p < 0.01). In birds of this group, an increase in the digestibility of organic matter by 11.33%, crude protein – by 10.03%, carbohydrates – by 11.31% was observed. The improvement of metabolism is indicated by an increase in blood glucose by 5.53%, total protein – by 21.41%. A decrease in the content of AST and total bilirubin by 36.74 and 53.66%, respectively, indicates a better liver condition. A significant (p < 0.05) increase in the level of catalase by 103.2% was established, against the background of a decrease in the amount of malondialdehyde by 20.49% (p < 0.05) in the blood serum of broiler chickens in the third experimental group.
