The dependence of stem height of sunflower hybrids KK-52 F1, Dushko F1 and Svetlana F1 on mineral fertilizer rates under meadow-alluvial soil conditions was evaluated by correlation, regression and covariance analysis. A very strong positive relationship (r = 0.998–1.000) was established and linear and quadratic regression equations were derived. Covariance analysis (ANCOVA) showed that 61.2% of total variation was attributable to sowing time, 25.6% to fertilizer rate and 13.1% to hybrid genotype.
