This article provides a comprehensive study of the theoretical and methodological foundations of speech development in children within preschool educational organizations through didactic games. Considering that play is the leading activity in preschool age, the article analyzes the strategic role of didactic games in enriching a child's vocabulary, sharpening phonemic hearing, and forming coherent speech (monologue, dialogue). Based on the modern experience of Kyrgyz kindergartens, a methodological system for enhancing a child's communicative competence is proposed. Along with the potential of traditional didactic games (object-based, tabletop, and verbal games), the study examines in detail the integration of modern interactive technologies and digital didactic tools. The article substantiates the pedagogical conditions for selecting games, ensuring their alignment with children's age characteristics and state educational standards. In the practical part of the study, the effectiveness of the systematic use of didactic games in mastering lexical topics, correcting grammatical structures, and enhancing the artistic expressiveness of speech is proven. The article concludes with methodological recommendations for educators on developing didactic materials and their flexible implementation into the educational process.
