The Australasian scoliid genus Trisciloa Gribodo, 1893, which exhibits distinctive morphological characters, remains poorly studied and is scarcely represented in entomological collections. The genus comprises only two species, namely Trisciloa ferruginea (Fabricius, 1775) and T. saussurei Gribodo, 1893, both of which possess unique morphological features, including forewing venation with two recurrent veins, with a supernumerary cross-vein between the recurrent veins, three submarginal cells, and a remarkably dense covering of velvety brown pubescence over the entire body. A redescription of the genus Trisciloa and of its two known species is provided, together with their illustrations, an illustrated identification key to the species of Trisciloa, and a key to all Australasian Campsomerini genera.
