Social media has become an integral part of adolescents' daily communication, but its ease of use may also create legal risks when digital content is disseminated without sufficient awareness of legal and ethical boundaries. This community engagement activity aims to strengthen adolescents' understanding of responsible social media use and improve their ability to potentially identify and prevent unlawful digital behavior. The activity employed a normative legal education approach combined with descriptive methods, interactive counseling, discussion, and question-and-answer sessions. The materials focus on the legal implications of social media use, including defamation, hate speech, misinformation, copyright infringement, and child protection in electronic systems. The activity results indicate that legal education is important in bridging the gap between the existence of digital legal regulations and adolescents' practical understanding of their application in everyday social media activities. Interactive discussions also provided opportunities for participants to identify potential risks arising from digital communication and to formulate preventive responses. The activity emphasizes that legal literacy should not be limited to knowledge of statutory provisions but should be translated into responsible digital behavior. Strengthening preventive digital legal literacy can therefore contribute to creating a safer, more ethical, and legally aware digital environment for adolescents.
