In most colleges, official communication is scattered across notice boards, departmental WhatsApp groups, emails, and word of mouth. Students often miss notices, event details, and committee updates, and committees have no way to gauge real interest before an event. To address this, this paper presents the College Social Network, a web-based platform limited to the campus community. The system provides enrollment-verified login, role-based accounts with visible authority badges, one-way broadcast groups, two-way discussion groups, tracked "Ask a question" threads, and an event "Join" action. Outsiders such as parents, alumni, and prospective students get read-only access to the public feed. A review of six related works shows that existing campus platforms depend on administrator-managed registration and basic roles, and that role-based access control is the accepted foundation for managing user privileges. The proposed system combines these ideas in one verified, role-based, and trackable platform
