The study aimed to conduct comparative preliminary phytochemical screening of Ficus religiosa, Ficus benghalensis and Artocarpus heterophyllus for extraction, phytochemical characterisation and yield of plants were accessed. Furthur F.religiosa were choosen for detailed study based on initial and the scientific justification for additional research. The main functional groups and phytochemical components of the chosen plant extract were then identified using Fourier-transform infra-red spectroscopy (FTIR) and liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC–MS/MS) analysis. Several phytochemicals were found in F. religiosa, confirming the plant’s stated phytochemical richness, according to the LC–MS/MS study. 27 bioactive compounds, primarily flavonoids and phenolic compounds, underscoring its pharmacological effects. Additional research is needed, including direct evaluation of anti-inflammatory efficacy and comparative LC–MS/MS analysis of all three plants.
