The deep ocean circulation age based on radiocarbon was last determined almost 20 years ago, when digital archiving was not standard practice. This work updates the circulation age while making two improvements by using new nutrient data and modifying the calculation. The newly calculated circulation age is spatially more coherent and older in the deep North Pacific than before. The basin‐averaged circulation age for the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, and Southern Ocean is respectively 256, 930, 689, and 326 years. The study confirms the centennial timescale of the world oceans.
