The carotid web (CW) is an abnormal embologenic formation in the lumen of the internal carotid artery and is the cause of ischemic stroke. The article presents a review of the literature on the topic, as well as our own clinical case of a diagnosed carotid web in a patient with recurrent ischemic strokes.
