Flowable composite resin is a composite resin, which has a low viscosity and a high flowability. Flowable composite resin to flow freely into the cavity and can adapt well to the cavity walls. This material is generally used as a pit and fissure sealant. Composite resin has water absorbing character, especially water containing acid (group H+). The environmental conditions of the oral cavity can affect the properties of restorative materials. The content of amino acids in soy milk can cause a decrease in pH in the oral cavity, and affect physical and mechanical properties, of restoration materials, one of which is the surface roughness of restorative materials. The purpose is to know the absorpsion of water in flowable coposite resin after soaking in soy milk. The sample used in this study komposti flowable resin shaped beam with a length of 10 mm, 10 mm wide, 2 mm thick, 27 pieces divided into 3 groups. The sample was soaked with soy milk (12 hours), aquades (12 hours), and without treatment, then measured the mass of composite resin using digital weighing. The results were statistically tested by One Way ANOVA test, followed by HSD test. One Way ANOVA test results showed the difference in the effect of soaking immersion in composite soybean milk, to water absorption. HSD test results showed the difference between soybean milk, aquades, and without treatment groups. Based on the research results, flowable composite resin soaking in soy milk for 12 hours can affect the weight of the composite resin mass.
