This article analyzes college dropout in the Veterinary Medicine Program at the Catholic University of Córdoba, through a descriptive study of population data. A total of 1941 student records enrolled between 2010 and 2024 were examined. The results reveal a dropout rate of 57 % among 2010-2019 cohorts, concentrated in the first curricular year (46 % of total enrollees). Of the total students who drop out, 90 % does not complete the first academic year, although 57 % remains for more than one year before withdrawing. The graduation rate reached 31 %, over an average of seven years, with only 1 % graduating within the established curricular timeframe. Patterns of attrition, prolonged permanence, and a declining trend in the graduation rate were identified, suggesting complex factors associated with dropout. These findings provide a quantitative basis for research and institutional student support strategies.
