This classroom action research examined whether the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model could raise mathematics learning outcomes among fourth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 064991 Medan Amplas. The work ran through two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Evidence came from learning outcome tests and from observations of student activity in class. The results suggest that working through meaningful, real-life problems helped students grasp concepts more deeply, take a more active part in lessons, and reach higher mathematics achievement.
