The mathematical modeling techniques and the homogenization method were used to analyze the behavior of these materials in order to relate microstructure with mechanical behavior. - The analysis done in this paper relates to the literature review in which parameters affecting piezoelectric composite materials' performance were analyzed. Some parameters such as AC Poling, phase transformation α to β, and interface damage increase d 33 , k t , and SNR efficiency. Improvements can also be made at the post-process stage. There are several parameters such as volume fraction of fibers, cross-section geometry, polymer layers' composition, and structural gradient that affect the material parameters. Modeling using FEM, ANN, and PSO shows great accuracy and helps predict results. The application of the material depends on the connectivity of the material, in which 1-3 applies to sensors/actuators while 2-2 and 3-3 apply to harvesting and damping. - From previous works, we know that the efficiency of materials is increased by up to 30-60% using PMN-PT due to fiber volume and the correct poling method.
