This paper deals the synchronisation of drive-response systems with input saturation and component-based hybrid event-triggered and sampled-data protocol under DoS attack. The proposed feedback control strategy is based on the separate transmission of every component of the synchronisation error vector. In this strategy, some of the components are equipped with event-triggered mechanisms (ETMs) while the others are transmitted periodically. This strategy is investigated for the first time based on practical engineering problems. In addition, the generated control signals are transmitted to the actuators through a network with the possibility of denial-of-service (DoS) attacks. The occurrence of these attacks are modelled with an stochastic variable with Bernoulli distribution. Using the Lyapunov–Krasovskii theory, stability and stabilisation conditions are derived and expressed as linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The proposed strategy has been applied to the synchronisation of Chua's circuits, which demonstrates its effectiveness.
